Congratulations to artist Ryan Foerster who won the 2013 Artadia/NADA  Award this year during Art Basel.  The artist will receive $4,000 cash reward. His work Sept-Nov, 2013, unique C-Prints, 10 x 8 inches each is shown above and was included in NADA with New York based  Martos Gallery & Shoot The Lobster founded by Jose Martos. Shoot The Lobster also just opened a satellite space in Luxembourg

Foerster’s work has been exhibited at C L E A R I N G, Brooklyn and Brussels and Shoot the Lobster / Martos Gallery. A jury comprised of two internationally renowned curators, Alex Gartenfeld, Interim Director and Chief Curator of Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, and Sylvia Chivaratanond, Suzanne Deal Booth Adjunct Curator of American Art, Centre Pompidou Foundation and Museum, selected the award winner.

Ryan Foerster (born 1983, Newmarket, Canada) is now a member of the Artadia family and will receive all lifetime privileges of Artadia Awardees, including access to Artadia’s national network, the option to participate in Artadia programs—such as our New York Residency program, our publications and exhibitions program, and our professional services—and will be promoted in all Artadia materials. Foerster has had solo presentations of his work in galleries and institutions in Geneva, Minneapolis, New York City, Brussels, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, and Melbourne. He lives and works in New York City.
