I’m a fan of Dan Perjovschi, and became familiar with his work two years ago when my dear friend “M”, reviewed a show (Michael Wilson, “Graphic Equalizer” Artforum, May 2006 pag 83-85) for Artforum. Often, his in-situ installations cover the walls of the space with chalk drawing. He had a large piece in this years Biennale featured in the Italian Pavilion. About two days ago, I received notification of this exhibition at Lombard-Freid Projects in Chelsea, and the attached image made me smile. On view until February 22nd, “You remember my pin?” looks like it will provide the political humor and social commentary that we expect from Dan’s work, and I’m sure will not disappoint.
