The other evening after spending most of the day indoors and somewhat sedated, I decided to wake myself up and go on a long extended walk. This walk took me around the Upper East Side and down 5th Ave. where I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the museums and boutiques after they had been closed. I took the above picture at the entrance to the guggenheim. I couldn’t help but wonder if I had seen this particulare scene before. My mind wandered to the work of Duane Hansen and a sculpture he did of a woman vacuuming.

Don’t be fooled.

Ordinary objects are art.
